Bought a membership and can't make it? Hrm. That's a tough one. Problem is that we've already spent the money trying to make your convention experience the best it possibly can be. What that means is we are unable to give you a refund at this time. Sorry. But you do have options.
You may transfer your membership to the following year. Send us a letter (a real one, with a stamp and everything) explaining why you can't come, if you are at liberty to say, and telling us your intention to attend our shindig the following year. Include a Self Address and Stamped Envelope if you wish a new receipt or other information. If we receive your letter before the first day of the convention, we'll carry you over to the next year.
Do you have friends? Of course you do. You can also transfer your membership to one of them, assuming they are able to attend. All you need to do is write a letter (do you sense a theme?) and either mail it to us or send it along with your friend. Please be specific in telling us who you are transferring to. We don't need a twenty-nine point description, but it might help. We will at least need a full name and address for them.
